Our scheduling system can send instant notifications about your online appointment statuses: edited and new ones, closed and deleted. It can be a personal message if you are set as an assignee or a message in an organisation group chat.
You can easily sync Telegram and EasyWeek in 5 minutes. As said before, there are two notification types.
Personal notifications
The Telegram bot will send information about your appointments in private chat in that case.
- Click on the Integrations icon, open the App Directory page, scroll down to Telegram card, and select Connect.
- Choose a bot. By default, it is EasyWeekBot and it is sufficient for notification purposes. If you have your organisation's bot with some custom functionality, connect it to the EasyWeek. More instructions about this are further.
- Press Connect Telegram, agree to open an application and click Start in the opened dialogue.
- The bot will congrats you on a connected account.
- Go back to the EasyWeek page and click Check connection.
All messages about appointments that you are related to will come to this chat:
Group notifications
You can collect all your organisation members and other concerned persons in one group chat and add our bot there. It will send all organisation notifications in this group.
- Click on the Integrations icon, open the App Directory page, scroll down to Telegram Group card, and select Connect.
- Choose a bot. By default, it is EasyWeekBot and it is enough for notifications. If you have your organisation's bot, connect it to EasyWeek. More instructions about this are afterward.
- Find this bot in the Add members search and join it your group:
- Copy the text from the form and send it to the selected group.
- The bot will congrats you on a connected account.
- Go back to the EasyWeek page and click Check connection.
Information about all your company's appointments and changes will come to this group
Connecting your own bot
If you want to set a logo, change a bot's name, or already have a Telegram bot with some specific functionality, you can use it instead of the default EasyWeekBot.
Click on the Integrations icon, open the App Directory page, select Telegram Bot, and then Connect.
Create a new bot with @BotFather. Specify its displayed name and username.
You will get an API key to rule your bot as an answer to this. One of the purposes is sending messages, so EasyWeek needs it. Put this key in the settings field.
Message template settings
Bot reacts to these four case types:
- creation,
- changing,
- canceling,
- and closing the appointment.
Personal and group notifications adjust separately, so you have 8 types of messages to set. You can enrich the standard message text with some variable details about booking.
The detailed specification is in this article.
