When a client signs up for a specific time slot and chooses the reason for the visit (e.g., haircut, consultation, or procedure), there are many benefits:
- Accurate cost determination and service duration.
- Assigning the right performer.
- Managing resource write-offs if the service requires consumables.
- Accurate reporting and accounting of finances and materials.
Creating a service list, manually or through import, is a straightforward process you can quickly master.
- How to import a service list
- How to manually populate a service list
- Description of services in different languages
- How to set a particular price
- Exporting services
Importing the service list
To start quickly, you can upload a list of services using a template. This allows you to create a set of services with minimal descriptions immediately:
- Duration,
- Price,
- Name.
Navigate to Settings – Business – Services, and in the upper right corner, select Import services from the ··· Options menu.
Follow the on-screen instructions:
Step 1.
Click Download to download the template. This is an important step because the system cannot process other types of tables.
Step 2.
Fill out the template with your data. Three columns in the template are mandatory: Service name, Price, and Duration. The remaining parameters can be left blank and filled in later within the system.
Step 3.
Click Select and choose the completed file.
Check the boxes if the services need to be added to all locations and for all employees. You can adjust this later.
You can also choose to Overwrite existing services – in this case, services with matching names already in the system will be replaced with the data from the table.
EasyWeek supports additional service settings for more efficient management. These can be configured when editing imported services or manually creating a new service.
Manually adding services
Click on the Settings icon in the left vertical menu. Then select Business – Services. A list of existing services will open, and in the upper right corner, you’ll see a + Create service button:
Please enter all the necessary information about the service on the page. The minimum required fields are also the Service name, Duration, and Price.
Display settings
These settings help visually organize the list of services on your website and widget.
- The Category field allows you to divide your services into category tabs.
- The Top service toggle will mark a service with an icon and highlight it in a separate category.
- The Hide service duration option helps remove the service duration when booking.
- The Service color helps highlight it in the list and color the booking card in the calendar.
The Online sales trigger generally enables or disables booking availability for the service. You can specify the service name and description for multilingual regions in all supported languages.
The list of languages and the default language can be configured on the Settings – Administration – General page. More details are provided in this article.
Duration settings
In this block, the mandatory Service duration in minutes is set, along with the Pause after service, if a break is required, for example, for cleaning.
Price settings
- Each service must have a Base price set, or the Free service checkbox should be marked.
- The Service cost will help you calculate salaries and profits.
- The Starting at checkbox indicates that the exact service price will be determined later.
- You can also choose to Show price on website and widget or hide it.
To account for taxes, you can specify the rate in the Tax field.
Special prices
For flexible pricing, one of the following two options can be applied:
- If the configured service is selected as an additional service for another, a discounted price can be used. This article provides more details.
- The Special price option allows you to change the service price according to a set schedule dynamically:
Dynamic pricing cannot be used simultaneously with the discounted price for a related service.
Resource consumption
Consumable materials from your inventory may be used when providing a service. Flow sheets can be used for convenient tracking. Attach an existing flow sheet or create a new one.
Exporting services
You can export a list of existing services to a file for convenient editing or, for example, for backup purposes.
- Click on the Settings icon in the left vertical menu.
- Then select Business – Services.
- Click ··· Options in the upper right corner, then Export services.
Once the report is generated, a download link will be sent to your contact email. The report will also be available in Settings – Data – Reports archive.
